Getting government support

The government is already supporting homeowners who are actively generating sustainable energy solutions, with guaranteed returns on excess units and tax exemptions to encourage further installation.

All homeowners will be able to earn money through the Microgeneration Certification Scheme – with the feed in tariff fixed on all electricity generated via the system for the next 25 years.

The government has also proposed that, by installing a solar panel system on your roof, you will be entitled to a tax-free income from every unit of energy your sell back to the grid.
