Swimming Pool Heating

How Sustainable Energy Technologies pool heating works

An electronic controller constantly compares the temperature of the solar collectors, usually located on the roof of a building or frames in the garden with the temperature of the pool water. The temperature of the pool water is measured in the pool pipe work in the plant room. Whenever the collectors are hotter than the temperature of the pool water, the controller switches on the solar systems circulating pump and the pool filtration pump simultaneously. A solar grade anti-freeze is then circulated through the collectors to a Bowman solar swimming pool heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is fitted to the pool pipe work in the plant room or near to the filtration pump, heating the pool in the same way as a boiler does.

  • Fully automated, requires no user intervention and no winter drain down]
  • Uses the best swimming pool heat exchangers on the market
  • Installed and guaranteed by Sustainable Energy Technologies
  • Provides a significant increase in swimming pool temperature
  • Compact, stylish and efficient solar thermal collectors
  • Much better output than traditional ‘direct’ plastic collectors
  • Indirect system, protected from any lime scale or frost damage
  • Complete system designed with solar software showing system outputs and savings
  • Can be linked to existing boiler systems

Each system is custom designed by Sustainable Energy Technologies to provide you with the optimum level of heating while respecting the aesthetics of the site. Sustainable Energy Technologies can even design an integrated system that will heat both the water in your home and swimming pool, satisfying all your heating requirements with one easy system.
